Bandwagon's Battle of the Bands Night 4 Recap

In case you missed it, the battle raged on as Bandwagon Magazine held night four of their annual Battle of the Bands at The Moxi Theater last Friday. Here's some of what you may have missed:

Polar Bodies - I'm not certain, but I would guess that these guys aren't old enough to drink, but they certainly rocked. Honestly, this was the band that I became the most vocal for, mostly because they ended their set with a blistering cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name."

Nelsen - No, this wasn't those blonde twins from the 80's, but they got their name in a similar fashion. Led by Nick Nelsen, these guys were the musical equivalent of Taco Tuesday. Tasty.

Pie Lombardi - The dude's name is Pie, and they're pretty tasty too. I might be hungry right now. Anyway, the side project of the guy from Silver and Gold almost won the gold this last go-around, but the crowd vote swayed that to favor the final band of the night.

Sol Solum - This band didn't win the judges' vote, but their Sublime-y college reggae stylings were the crowd favorite, as they will advance onto the finals next month, along with Igaus Davis, The Great Salmon Famine and Chess at Breakfast.

See you at the Moxi as we crown a winner next month!
